South Carolinians ​​​are proud of our long, rich history. Our state has been influencing the birth and direction of a nation since  the earliest days of colonization.  The Society of First Families of South Carolina 1670-1700  is working to perpetuate the memory of those who achieved a permanent settlement in South Carolina between 1670 and 1700; cherish, maintain and extend the institution of American freedom; and foster true patriotism and love of country.
